LIVE BREATHE YOGA
FAQs
Do I need to bring equipment?
It is best to bring your own mat if you have one. There are a limited number of mats at The Balanced Bean studio where you can currently book classes for. If you are unsure, please contact me. I have 20 blocks (typically two each) and 10 straps.

I am a beginner, can I still attend?
Of course! I try to cater my classes for all levels. I will demonstrate some modifications and progressions whether you are beginner or a long-time yogi. If you are ever unsure in class, please pop your hand up and I will assist.

I have an injury, can I still attend?
I encourage you to speak to you GP or physiotherapist before attending my yoga classes. I am not a doctor or physician and therefore, cannot tell you what is best for your body. I do need to know if you have any injuries before starting the class. It is your responsibility to come out of a posture or adapt the posture/ask for help according to your body. Please read the T&Cs.

Do you teach pregnancy yoga?
I am not trained in pregnancy yoga yet. Therefore, it is your responsibility to speak to your health advisor or GP and adapt the postures according to your current pregnancy status. If you believe a described posture is unsafe, please do not do it. Alternatively, seek out specific pre-natal yoga classes.

Can my child attend?
I kindly ask that every attendee be over the age of 18.

I am not flexible, can I still attend?
Yoga can help increase flexibility! We all have to start somewhere and everybody's body is different.

What should I wear?
Something comfortable and non-restrictive for dynamic movement.

Socks or no socks?
This is preference. I personally prefer to do yoga without socks so that I can grip the mat better. I have seen people do yoga in socks (impressive, in my opinion!). No judgement either way.

Are your classes for women only?
All genders welcome.

Will there be adjustments?
I will ask at the start of the class or during if anyone does NOT wish to have hands on adjustments.
